The convention in this trade is to say nothing about money until somebody is standing in your kitchen, which is precisely the moment you have the least room to decline. Publishing the prices costs us that advantage deliberately.
Rough ranges, parts and labor together
- Refrigeration, non-sealed: fans, defrost parts, thermistors, gaskets. Usually $195 to $460.
- Refrigeration, sealed system: leaks, compressors, weighed recharges. Higher, and it needs EPA 608 certification to touch legally.
- Wine cellar systems: $220 to $650 depending on whether the unit is ducted, split or a built-in column.
- Cooking: igniters, sensors, elements, locks, boards. Usually $185 to $520, and more on imported ranges.
- Dishwashers: $185 to $440, and higher when the machine is integrated under stone.
- Laundry: $175 to $390 for pumps, valves, dampers and door locks.
- Ice machines: $190 to $480, cleaning and descaling included in most visits.
What moves the number
Access. An hour at each end on anything integrated, and that is careful work rather than padding.
The maker. Parts for La Cornue, Bertazzoni and Miele cost more and occasionally arrive from the importer rather than a warehouse.
The part. A thermal fuse and a control board are the same labor and nothing alike on the invoice. The single biggest variable on this page.
What stays where it was
The price you agreed to. Quoted before anything opens, and unchanged afterwards. If a second problem turns up behind the first, the tools go down and you get a phone call.
You will find each starting price on the pricing page. Call (844) 398-4960 for a price on your own machine.
